Why do leaves change colour?
Today the Kiddos became scientist and did an experiment to answer the question why do leaves change colour! We took leaves and tried to take the chemical, Chlorophyl, out of the leaves to see their true pigment. Here are some of the things that we learned!
"We wrote why we thought leaves changed colour. I thought it was because it was cold" - SS
"Today I learned why leaves fall from trees." - ZC
"The weather gets colder and the leaves change colour because they're getting less sun." IC
"The leaves use water for energy!"
